Volunteer Opportunities at Care Net Pregnancy Services of DuPage

There are two paths that our volunteers follow...

  • The first path includes the positions that require completion of our Volunteer Training.
  • The second path for volunteers includes positions that do not require attendance at our Volunteer Training.

Training Required
Abstinence Speaker

Our "Amplify Youth Development" team coordinates three-day presentations in local schools & youth groups.  Speakers are trained to present on one of the three days - (1) facts/statistics about STD's & purity, (2) how & why to wait, and (3) personal testimony.  Daytime availability is required.  Speakers receive plenty of personalized coaching, so are only required to attend one half of the Volunteer Training.  For more information or to register for the training, call Andrea at 630-493-1523, ext. 5260.

Ambassador for Amplify Youth Development Program

An Amplify Youth Development ambassador is trained to understand the abstinence movement and the Amplify Youth Development program in order to ultimately market the program.  An ambassador makes phone calls, connects with community members, and networks to help spread the word about what Amplify Youth Development is doing in the community.  This is a newer position, so ambassadors will work closely with the Abstinence Education Coordinator to make their tasks a success.  If you are interested, please contact Melissa at 630-493-1340, Ext. 5270.

Connections Contact
Connections is a program in which Care Net matches up a client with a church/small group.  During her pregnancy, the client submits prayer requests, and your small group prays for her faithfully.  At the end of the pregnancy, the group hosts a baby shower for her.  As the Contact, you would be the intermediary between Care Net and your group.  If you'd like to participate in this program, call Cristina at 630-741-0118.
Bridges Assistant
Bridges is a parenting program held in Oak Brook Community Church. Assistants are needed for child care, working in the store, and visiting with the clients to make them feel welcome during the meetings. Meetings are held on Monday nights.  If you'd like to join this team, call Liane at 630-878-8610.
Church Liaison
Liaisons help us keep your church involved and informed of special events, volunteer training seminars, and other opportunities for service.  If you'd like to be the CPS Spokesperson for your church, call Diane at 630-493-1340, ext. 5160.
Receptionist
Our offices cannot be open unless at least two workers are present.  Receptionists team up with Peer Counselors so that our doors can be open!  Receptionists greet clients and assist with office work; they do not respond to client inquiries. Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts are all open. If you'd like to join the Wood Dale team call Heather at 630-741-0118; for the Glen Ellyn team call 630-599-0040.
Speaker's Assistant
Our Speakers go into health classes at local schools, and present a message of abstinence to the students.  Every Speaker needs an assistant to pray for her/him, help pass out papers, etc.  Daytime availability is required. If you'd like to join this team, call Andrea at 630-493-1523, ext. 5260.
Special Events Team Member
Our Special Events team organizes all of our fundraisers, including the Banquet, Stand Up for Life, Coins for CareNet.  Team members work at stuffing envelopes, mailing preparation, deliveries to churches, and more.  If you'd like to join this team, call Julene at 630-493-1340, ext. 5240.
Ultrasound Technician

If you are already licensed as a medical doctor or ultrasound technician, we would love to have you join our medical team.  Technicians perform ultrasounds on clients who are deciding between carrying or aborting their babies.  What a difference it makes in a client's life when she sees her unborn child!  If you'd like to volunteer in this way, call Carla at 630-493-1340 ext. 5200 or email her at charrison@carenetdupage.com
