30 years ago CareNet of DuPage was started by community and church leaders who had a dream . . to make a difference in the lives of women in unplanned pregnancies that were in desperate need of compassion and support.
CareNet was started as a hotline which was answered in a mechanic’s garage and soon the Board recognized the need for a location to meet and counsel women. A local church loaned them some space and eventually the need for a center evolved into an office in Lombard along Roosevelt Road.
Today CareNet is a multifaceted ministry with four centers that are reaching women and saving lives. We wish to recognize those individuals who sacrificed so much to start CareNet of DuPage 30 years ago. Our staff stands on the shoulders of giants who passionately pursued a God-given vision with tenacity and prayer.
The following are just a few of the many people who contributed to the success of CareNet. We are grateful and humbled by your service.
